Bounded by Sholinganallur, Semmencherry, Sithalapakkam and Medavakkam, and close enough to OMR's IT belt to matter, without being on OMR itself.
Perumbakkam sits a few kilometres inland from OMR, connecting to Sholinganallur through the Medavakkam–Sholinganallur road and to Tambaram via the Velachery–Tambaram road.
